These Charcoal and Peppermint bars are magical, even if we say so ourselves. The activated charcoal and kaolin clay don’t just provide a gorgeously creamy lather but some supper gentle exfoliation too. Salt is a natural humectant that literally pulls moisture out of the air. This is great news for your skin, moisture loving creature that it is and it is also great as a natural detoxifier, gently drawing impurities out of our skin. Here our powdered Sea Salt is backed up by Activated Charcoal, Kaolin Clay, Olive oil, Coconut oil and a bubble boosting whack of Castor oil. This soap is so exciting.
 
These bars are also some of the hardest soaps we make. We’ve had a word - they won’t start bar fights but it does mean they last and last long after a bottle of shower gel would have thrown in the towel.

We make soap the old-fashioned way, think back to your grandma’s grandma. Her generation was making soap in a very similar way using a process that was refined over hundreds of years. Using the wisdom gathered through all those generations and some very modern technology our process is basically the same. We take natural butters and oils and with some very meticulously balanced formulas we turn them into salts and glycerin capable of gently but effectively cleansing the skin without cutting corners.
 
When it comes to salt bars the added salts, either Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt fills any unsaturated bonds within the final salts produced resulting in a supper hard, luxuriously creamy bar that is unparallel in the handmade soap world. If you’ve never tried one we highly recommend it. 
 
Other Ingredients of Note -

Activated Charcoal - Activated charcoal is gloriously cleansing, it’s use in purification can be traced all the way back to the ancient Egyptians in 3750 B.C. 
With form like that it’s more than just a skincare fad (though honestly I draw the line at putting it in my morning latte, anyone else?).

Kaolin Clay – Kaolin clay has gentle cleansing properties, soaking up excess oil to leave your skin deeply clean and very gently polished.
